Hank Scott comes to mind. Jim at VMS has a carb builder. I think Randy may do carb work as well. There are a host of people that build them.

Pistone has been around as well. USLC (600 racing) can do them as well. Your choice as too how much you have to spend and which you trust the most. You might want to shop around for prices. Don't forget to include shipping if not in your area.

I see Hank Scott advertising motors from 600. He has different prices set up with different options.

Money no object? Why race Legends? Buy a late model and actually be able to win more than $250.

If you are set on Legends,  I would buy brand new cars from USLC. Pull the motors and take the cars to Jeff Jordan for stress relief/set-up. Take the motors to Hank for carbs/tuning/everything else.

I would not go to 600. I live an hour from Jeff Jordan and RPM. When I bought the car it already his clips and some other stuff. It was natural to go to him.

His cars win races every weekend, but so do a lot of other guys.

These cars are not very comfortable to drive, they take some getting used to. A lot of the top teams rent cars. I think about $500 a race (Less than you pay for tires on your LM). You will get a top car with a solid setup, show up with helmet and drive. Give you an opportunity to see what you think.

Where are you located? If your near me I could point you in the right direction.

im in Massachusetts, i have raced legends in the past but the car wasn't that great, could drive from the back to the front but didn't have what the top 1-5 cars had. thats why I'm looking for that little extra!

Its not much different than any other form of racing. The guys spending the money are winning.

I'm still looking for the something extra myself.

Very cool. I may be at a few of the Nelcar events. Stop by the Yellow and black #16 Ford sedan. See you around.
