New Motor
« on: October 05, 2015, 11:05:57 am »
I am going to be purchasing a new motor soon and was looking for some input on whether to go with a standard bore motor or the .008 Wiesco motor. Any input is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Chris Hayes

I would love some info on the plus and minuses of the .008 motor as well. I'm in the same boat. Will probably be purchasing a new motor soon.

I would go with 8 over.   When I bought my car, I went with 4 over.  Engine lasted for three seasons and turned a LOT of laps.   When I did the rebuild this summer they could not bore the sleeves because they were egg shaped and had to install new sleeves.   Therefore, my opinion is to always go with 8 over and just plan on doing sleeves each time.
