Springs

I know we have a choice of 8" and 10" springs. On the car we bought there is 8" in the front and 10" in the back. Is that normal? Or do you run the same size all around either  8 or 10"

Most tend to run same size all around as you can change front to back, side to side, etc...
 I run 10" and run pavement. A lot of pavement folks use the 8" because there is less travel.
A bit less weight, but not likely to be enough to worry about.
As I turn left and right and some pretty sharp turns, I like the extra travel.
