Vin numbers and engines
« on: September 29, 2014, 10:37:36 pm »
I am looking into buying a bandolero and was curious about the vin numbers.  The cars had vin number plates on the floor pan by the right side of the drivers seat, the numbers were 137 and 439. They looked official but how old would that make the cars ? The frames looked good and the engines I think would be fine other than testing and being resealed. All the tires are new but they have a little age on them. Just wondering if I should think newer or invest in revamping what's there.

Welcome to LegendsRacer!

To try to answer your question, the higher the VIN number the newer the car.
Check out these threads on vin numbers:

Our good friend Ed at BandoStuff has a good trad on what to look for when buying a used Bando car. Check it out!

And be sure to check the current rule book for new updates.

Hope that helps you.
