Author Topic: i had to cut off part of my nipple  (Read 1342 times)

installed a new clutch slave cylinder.....the bleeder valve nipple was rubbing the drive shaft coupler...so i cut the tip off..is that normal?

How can you respond to that title with a one word answer Vern?
Have you had to cut off part of your nipple?
How much did you have to cut off?
Inquiring minds want to know.

I've never had to do that, but there are more than one slave out there, maybe you have the one that needs to have nipple reduction

i thought the bleader screw was flat so it could clear? But uhhh i had to re read that title twice and was still unsure if i should read the thread lmao

yes, this is common with a new clutch slave. You need to grind the nipple down until it is flat (only the "nut" should be remaining)

So, said another way, grind your nipple down to your nut... ouch... Cheesy
